Early birthday present.........

Every year in April we go to the Melbourne Art
Festival, every year there is a man who makes
these hand carved, crazy fish and every year Frank
and I say that we are going to buy one for our patio.

Well, another Art Fest came and went and we did
not buy one, however, Jean knew that we had
been wanting one and bought this one for me for
my birthday!

Our patio is ocean themed and cigars are
smoked out there, so, she bought me a fish
smoking a cigar. How perfect!!!!

Key West for the 4th of July.........

Anita, Bob, Frank and I went to Key West for
a long weekend. We had a great time!!

Frank was VERY happy to be there. You can
tell by the smile on his face!

Every morning we started with breakfast at

Camille's. Every morning we ate WAY too much!

We stopped for all of the goofy photo op's.

A southern most photo was a must.

Then we were off to the Butterfly Factory.

This one was a moth as big as our hand!

Then it was off to Rum Runner's. Our favorite
bartender Tommy no longer works there. We
were bummed.
As we made our way through town we noticed
that a lot of places had closed down. We spoke to
several bartenders and discovered that they had
a terrible season and several businesses could
not stay open. It was very sad to hear.
The Green Parrot, however, was still there and
we spent a few hours playing pool.

After several beverages we saw a baby chicken.
Anita called it a "puppy chicken" and the name
stuck the rest of the weekend.

These two were up to no good all weekend.
At Margaritaville we walked in about 15 minutes
after them and sat across the bar from them and
pretended that we didn't know them.
We had the people between us and the bartender
very confused because the guys kept talking to us
and we blew them off. They didn't know what to
think.

Saturday we strolled down some streets that
we had not been on before and came across
this little shop.

Happy hour already?? Boy, time sure does fly!

Our server took our picture for a "minimal charge".

This dog was a big baby dancing with his owner.
We thought it was too hot for him to be in the sun.

Some new fountains by Mallory Square.

Well......if they were not new, we had not seen
them before.
We asked Frank to kiss the Capt. He made a puss face!

Another happy hour? How can I keep up?

We stopped for a snack. Frank was craving oysters.
He begged me to try one. I finally gave in.
Here it goes........

Here it comes!!!!!!!!
I won't be doing that again!

That just wore me out! I had to take a break!
More funny photo op's.
By the time we got to Capt. Tony's the
funds were getting low.

The last evening we took a long walk by the water.
There was a wonderful breeze!

Bob and I had to take a little sit down. We figured out
that throughout the weekend we had walked about
35 miles! No wonder my feet hurt.
After our walk we headed back to our hotel and
had (a few) nightcaps on the roof deck which was
where we had watched the fireworks the night
before.
There was a beautiful breeze and all of the stars
were out. We recapped the weekend and made
our plans for breakfast the next morning before
heading home.
It was a great weekend!

A work in progress.......

Lance has been begging us to redecorate his room.
We have finally gotten started.
Here are a few before pictures.

As long as we have lived in this house he

has never used his fan and since it was all
primary colors we took it down and put
a cover over the hole.

Lance was in charge of drinks and

snacks until we started painting.

Jean called while I was filling holes

and Lance thought it would be funny
to take a picture to make it look like
I wasn't doing anything.

While I was busy taping.........

this is what Frank was doing!

I fell out while working on the trim.
That's the part I hate the most!

I love the color that Lance picked.
It is called acorn.

It took us 3 days but it was worth it.
Next we order his furniture.
