We can't leave out Sapphire.....
Lance had Sapphire out last Sunday while Frank & I
were working outside.
Apparently she was not getting enough attention
from him because the moment I came into her view
she flew straight for me.
I think she figured if she hid on my ponytail she
could sneak outside with me.

Birdie bath time........
Chardonnay has a really nice playpen with everything
that a bird could want including a bath tub, but do you
think that she would use it?? No way! Believe it or not
she is afraid of it.
I fill it ankle deep with luke warm water and she just
looks at me like I am on crack.
She will spend several hour on the playpen and never
take a bath....but.....the minute that I put her back into
her cage, with ice water in her dish, that is when she decides
to bathe.

A very fond memory..........
Even though I don't work as a hair dresser I
still do haircuts for friends and family.
Other than giving Lance his 1st haircut, THIS
has to be the BEST haircut memory!!!
This is my friend Terri's daughter J.J. and I was
the lucky one to be able to cut her hair for the 1st time!!!
This was several years ago and I had forgotten about
these pictures. Terri & I were scrap booking last
weekend and this was one of her layouts.

A project worth the time......
As you know, my brother Michael lives in Manhattan.
He has recently moved into his own apartment and
is keeping me up to date on his progress.
He is basically working from the ground up & doing
so by himself.
The furniture is ordered and Bed, Bath & Beyond
is his new best friend. (buy stock in that company NOW)
This is one of his views, he is on the 10th floor.
Everything was white, the hardwood floor's are beautiful!!
White, white, white..................
White, white, white.....jeeezzzz.......

Something different.........
Every year for Valentine's Day Lance exchanges
Valentine's cards with his classmates & every year
they are the little folded card with Harry Potter or
Scooby Doo with a Blow-Pop or some other small
treat.
This year I came across a magazine article that
had several different ideas. I showed them to
Lance and he was very excited to do something
different and he would also have an excuse to use
my scrap booking supplies.
He was very proud and I thought they turned out great!!

In 6 weeks I get to do it all again.......
Every party has a pooper that's why we invited Patty.
Every evening after dinner it was the same routine.
"Come on Patty....come out with us for a little while....plleeaasseeee"!!
"Oh......do I have toooooo??????????
So we would talk her into it and most of the
time she was glad she did.
I'm not sure what happened this time........
"What was I thinking"????????

So close & yet so far......
Our cruise is only a little over 6 weeks away. I have no idea where the last year has gone and at the same time we have so much going on prior to the cruise that it seems like it is a long way out.
This weekend I'm hosting a crop.
Sunday is the Grant Seafood Festival.
Bike Week in Daytona March 8 & 9.
Lance's birthday March 22.
Easter March 23.
Martini's at the Red Head to watch the Glory go out to sea with the last group of cruisers prior to us on March 29.
Everyone arrives & we have a meet & greet party on April 4th.
Then, FINALLY, we cruise 44 days from today!!!!!!!

An enjoyable day with Lance......
After a crazy weekend of yard work, movies and a Daytona 500 gathering it was nice to have an extra day off to spend with Lance.
We had a few "must do's" on our list but once those were done we had a great day.
First stop after the "must do's" was Chili's for lunch. I'm telling you, this kid had turned into a regular comedian. We laughed our way through a long lunch and then it was off to the mall to find dress clothes for Lance to wear on the cruise.
We actually did pretty good. We were able to find him a suit, 2 dress shirts with ties, tan dress pants, 2 short sleeve button down shirts and a pair of sunglasses. I picked up several thing for myself also. Frank asked that I NEVER take another day off without him because it is to hard on his wallet.

After the mall we made a quick trip to pick up some scrap book paper and hit a huge sale and stocked up.

Just getting by.......
Lance must have realized at the last minute that he had not made anything for Frank & I for Valentine's Day and was scrambling last night as he was going to bed.
This is hilarious!!!!!!

You know that you are a Floridian if.......
Socks are only for bowling.
You never use an umbrella because you know the rain will be over in five minutes.
A good parking place has nothing to do with distance from the store, but everything to do with shade.
Your winter coat is made of denim.
You can tell the difference between fire ant bites and mosquito bites.
You're younger than thirty but some of your friends are over 65.
Anything under 70 degrees is chilly.
You have to drive north to get to The South.
Every other house in your neighborhood had blue roofs in 2004-2005.
You dread love bug season.
You are on a first name basis with the Hurricane list. They aren't Hurricane Charley, Hurricane Frances...but Charley, Frances, Ivan and Jeanne.
You know what a snowbird is and when they'll leave.
You think a six-foot alligator is actually pretty average.
'Down South' means Key West.
Flip-flops are everyday wear.
You smirk when a game show's 'Grand Prize' is a trip or cruise to Florida.
You have a drawer full of bathing suits, and one sweatshirt.
You know the four seasons really are: hurricane season, love bug season, snowbird season and summer.
You've hosted a hurricane party.
You go to a theme park for an afternoon, and know when to get on the best rides. (Space Mountain during the Electric Light Parade!)
You understand why it's better to have a friend with a boat, than have a boat yourself.
You've worn shorts and used the A/C on Christmas.

Connie & Gloria catching up on gossip......

Herb had the best seat in the house.......

How will we ever do it all???????
Arlette & Laurie's Friends & Family
Carnival Glory
April 2008
Now that everyone has booked and paid for their cruise it is time for the "Cruise Directors" to get down to the nitty gritty.
How will we ever do it all???
How are they getting from the airport to Melbourne? Where will they all sleep? How will we ever have enough hot water for everyone to shower? Will we have enough coffee or items for breakfast? What if someone does not like the selection? Will we have enough food for the party? Does everyone know what to do to book their excursions? How is everyone getting to the ship? Will we remember to bring the on board surprises? How will we remember everyone's name? What will we wear? What do we pack?
Well we took a Saturday night, yes, a SATURDAY NIGHT, and had a cruise meeting.
So don't you worry and don't you fret, by the time you arrive in sunny Florida we will be ready to board the Glory, on that you can bet!!!
We raise a glass to you, fellow cruisers!!!
