A little piece of heaven.....

One of the most unusual things we did in Key West was to take a stroll through a tropical paradise.
Patty, Anita, Frank & I went to the Butterfly Conservatory. They had an impressive collection of flowering plants, cascading waterfalls & trees in a glass enclosed, climate controlled habitat. Among all of this were hundreds of beautiful butterflies. It was truly breathtaking. They were everywhere & not afraid to land on us.
If you are ever in Key West I strongly recommend checking this out.

El Patio Suite #7.....

Maybe we had a great time or maybe I just got heat stroke while pressure cleaning our patio........but when I came in to cool off I started thinking about our time in the Keys. It really was NOT long enough, so.....I picked up the phone & made reservations for Labor Day weekend!!

Jean, Jeff, Frank & I are going back to get into some trouble that we were not able to the 1st time.

Jean thinks that I am insane but she sure didn't turn down the offer!

40 days & counting!

A birthday to remember......

I'm sure Jeff will never forget his 50th birthday. Jean managed to assemble a great group of people & bring them to a fun destination. A great time was had by all.





One of the highlights of the trip was the Pub Crawl. It included a guided tour through an area of Key West with stops in 5 different bars with a free drink in each bar.We were also given t-shirts that say, "The liver is evil & it must be punished".



This was our "Tour Guide" Brian......what a trip!



There was a lot of singing & slinging drinks but the most entertaining part of the evening was when Patty won the "Conch blowing contest"!!




She has got the lung power!!

The Shorter the Trip....

Why is it that the shorter the trip, the harder it is to get back into the groove?? I guess having a head cold doesn't help either.

The hardest part of being back is eating properly. After having huge omelette's, hash browns & a cappuccino every morning & then the "cheeseburgers in paradise", baked brie & key lime pie, it's a little tough going back to weight watchers portions but I have to keep in mind that the cruise is only 260 days away & I have 30 pounds to go!!!
